Notice: It has been brought to my attention by one of my Internet Service Providers that people have complained to them about spamming by The Conservative Newsletter. This could be based on a couple of different situations. 1. Someone subscribed you thinking you would be interested or as a joke, or 2. You have subscribed in order to be able to complain to our ISP hoping to censor our message.
If you are subscribed and don't wish to be, there are instructions at the bottom of every newsletter telling you how to unsubscribe.
If you are a limp-wristed democrat or centrist republican Bush supporter attempting to silence the truth, you just lost round one.
George W. Bush told an Iowa audience during the Republican presidential debates in Arizona that Christ was his favorite political philosopher, "because he changed my heart." Many leading "evangelicals" seem to have been impressed by GW Bush's almost, sorta, semi-testimony. While it would have been a good opportunity for a genuine testimony of God's saving grace, it really didn't look like one to me. Describing Christ as a political philosopher and leaving it at that point is hardly a testimony of salvation. Many people have had their hearts changed by the political writings of Marx and Mao. That is not salvation either, though we have many in federal government who might want to debate that. ( I do not plan to mention the current president and first lady by name.) Evangelicals have a lower standard for about everything though, so I guess we shouldn't be surprised that such a simple non-statement should win them over.
"I was watching the debate with my wife and daughter in the room, neither of whom are political junkies," said Richard Land, a leader in the Southern Baptist Convention. "And when they heard that answer they both stopped what they were doing, looked at me and said 'Wow.'"
"He talks their language," Mr. Land said. "Most evangelicals who heard that question probably thought 'That's exactly the way I would have answered that.'"
While GW might "talk the talk" of the evangelical Christian community, he hardly represents a defense of the views that are traditionally considered Christian. He has backed away from taking a stand on the key issue of murdering babies by saying that he would not necessarily consider the pro-life position when appointing judges or when selecting a running mate.
Though the McCain-Bradley "summit meeting" drew heavy-duty media coverage, the congressional testimony of John Huang -point man of the Democratic fund-raising scandal - got a C-SPAN camera and little else.
Why, the Wall Street Journal wants to know?
"The people who violated existing campaign laws in 1996 have largely gotten away with it. Mr. Huang won a sweetheart plea agreement with the Justice Department that resulted in no jail time and involved him only pleading guilty to making $7,500 in illegal campaign contributions that were unrelated to the 1996 election.
" 'As it now stands the law has no teeth,' remarked Democratic Sen. Joseph. I. Lieberman. 'Why else would two of those most prominent figures from the 1996 scandal - John Huang and Charlie Trie - be allowed to plea to charges that resulted in no jail time?' "
Why else, the Journal asks?
"We can answer that in two words - Janet Reno. And beyond that, her boss, Bill Clinton. This administration's first instinct, so often, has not been to do the right thing as a matter of responsibility to the commonwealth, but an instinct to do the wrong thing, or nothing. And then, when the irresponsibility is impossible to ignore, as with the 1996 fund raising, to bog down the investigations of responsible agencies or officials."

December 15th on CNN's "Crossfire," host Bob Novak agreed with Ambassador Keyes that the media has made a concerted effort to ignore his candidacy and his message because it does not fit the stereotype they have created of a "black man."
"The more I think about it, I think he's got a point. He is terrifically articulate, he's excellent on conservative issues and I think it just offends the liberal media to have a black man taking those positions. They say that is not playing the game," stated Novak.
Novak then defended Ambassador Keyes from co-host Bill Press who labeled Keyes' positions as "outrageous," particularly his views on the United States' involvement in Kosovo.
"Most of the Republican activists think that Kosovo was a phony propaganda war and really a disgrace for the country. So that's not an outrageous position. A national sales tax is not an outrageous position.
And his campaign finance reform, what do you find wrong with that?" Novak further stated.

Sodomites already have rights. They are protected under the US Constitution just like all Americans. If they get their way however they will be granted "special minority status" and thereby force themselves on the majority of society.
They have some major obstacles in the way of their elevation to "special minority status" however. They don't meet any of the three test of the Supreme Court for that status. The first test is immutable characteristics. Can the sodomite change? The second test is economic discrimination. Do sodomites suffer financially because of their status? The third test is lack of political influence. Do sodomites have the ear of state and federal government?
Homosexuals choose their lifestyle and can change. Thousands of homosexuals have been delivered from their perversion and have successfully returned to a normal life according to Dr. D. James Kennedy. Sexual preference is just that, preference
When it comes to economic discrimination homosexuals certainly do not qualify. 47.7% of homosexual men own their own home. ("Overlooked Opinion," A Chicago based market research firm, 1/1/92) The average household income for gays is $55,430 while the national average is $32,286 and is only $12,166 for blacks. ("Wall Street Journal" 7/18/91)
Homosexuals are certainly not without political influence either. An AP release of Nov 3rd 1993 stated that at least 22 openly homosexual people had been appointed to the Clinton White House. There have been several more since then including at least one ambassador. There are over 100 members of Congress who are in favor of and support homosexual legislation on a regular basis. There are at least two avowed homosexual Representatives in the House. If the sodomites ever reach "special minority status" in this country it will be because of their political clout not because they lack it.

The Union Leader opines: "Granted, Bill Bradley and John McCain shaking hands over the campaign finance issue in Claremont yesterday makes for good TV. But considering these two candidates - who regularly fly to campaign appearances on corporate jets on loan from "special interests" - are no virgins in the world of fundraising, their holier than thou bipartisan waltz rings hollow."

The UN turned its head and looked the other way while one tenth of Rwanda's population was murdered in 1994. This was the report of former Swedish Prime Minister Ingyar Carlsson that was released last week. The UN did send "peace-keepers" to the region, but the US and Britain delayed the effort long enough for the Hutu forces to exterminate 800,000 Tutsis even as they sought refuge in churches and missions. Although the genocide was predicted more than a year in advance, and it was estimated that Tutsis would be killed at a rate of 1,000 every 20 minutes, nothing was done until at least 100 days into the extermination.
"It is incomprehensible to the inquiry that not more was done to follow up on the information provided …," the report concludes
This is the organization that the globalists want to rule the world. Why? As it was proven in Rwanda, the UN can be manipulated and controlled to suit the whims of a powerful leader.
There is a clear pattern to when Clinton wants action against genocide and when he forces the world to turn its head. Am I the only one that sees it?
I'm expecting a letter to the editor in answer to that question. E-mail: theconservative@usa.net
