"It is easy to say 'vast right-wing conspiracy';
it is difficult to admit that
the Founding Fathers are its founding members."

Quotes

"It's beginning to feel like homeweek with all the old crowd -- People for the American Way, National Organization of Women, AFL-CIO, National Abortion and Reproductive Rights Action League and scores of other Leftist groups and senators -- gathered round to bring down and pick the bones of another presidential nominee. It's enough to make a man nostalgic." - Judge Robert Bork

"Because of [Clinton's] political monomania, and because he is a perpetual preener who can strut even while sitting, Bill Clinton relished being president. The pomp, the cameras, the microphones make that office a narcissist's delight. But other than by soiling the office, he was a remarkably inconsequential president, like a person who walks across a field of snow and leaves no footprints. ... Clinton is not the worst president the republic has had, but he is the worst person ever to have been president." --George Will

"I pledge to President-elect Bush my efforts and the best efforts of every member of our administration a smooth and successful transition." --The Prevaricator in Chief

and

"On January 20...the person standing up before the Capitol taking the oath of office...will be sworn in as my president too. I will spare no efforts in saying to people who supported me, 'let's not have any talk about stealing the election, let's not question the legitimacy of the election'." --The Vice Prevaricator

TCN Comment: It's almost over….. we can make it.

"God's law will be publicly acknowledged in our court. [It is my duty] not only to maintain the honor and integrity of the court system and the judicial branch, but to restore and preserve the moral foundation of our law." -- Alabama Judge Roy Moore, who was sued by the ACLU in 1995 -- to no avail -- because he displayed the Ten Commandments in his courtroom and opened his court with prayer

"The election law was broken, and the reluctant Justice Department had to be hounded by a vigilant press and frustrated Congress into doing even part of its duty. Riady's much-needed money passed and Clinton's favors were done and American's Asian policies were changed. No nostalgic spinning or pleas to move on will ameliorate that betrayal of trust." --William Safire

"Tyranny seldom announces itself. ...In fact, a tyranny may exist without an individual tyrant. A whole government, even a democratically elected one, may be tyrannical." --Joseph Sobran

"The level of mean-spirited invective and race-baiting demagoguery spewing from those who have suffered defeat has reached record-setting decibel levels. ... These faithful followers of left wing radicalism are not unlike the committed communists who, toward the end, finally were forced to accept that they had organized their lives around a profound system of lies, and staked their salvation on a sick and dying ideology." --Linda Bowles

MISCARRIAGE OF JUSTICE:

RAY DEAL WITH CLINTON OUTRAGEOUS AND ABUSE OF INDEPENDENT COUNSEL OFFICE

"Apology" Not Enough - Clinton Should Have Been Indicted for Crimes - Judicial Watch Will Ask Court To Reject Deal

(Washington, DC) Judicial Watch, the public interest law firm that investigates and prosecutes public corruption, today responded with outrage to the reported plea deal Independent Counsel Robert Ray struck with President Bill Clinton. The deal reportedly asks for nothing more than an apology from Clinton, despite all the evidence that Clinton, among other crimes, committed perjury and obstruction of justice, threatened witnesses, tried to intimidate prosecutors, and bribed witnesses with government jobs. For instance, Judicial Watch obtained testimony from Linda Tripp that her life was threatened after she came forward in the Lewinsky scandal.

Judicial Watch also said today that Independent Counsel Ray's plea deal "is an abuse of his office, which is charged with investigating and prosecuting crimes, not extracting meaningless letters of apology from criminal wrongdoers." (The New York Times reported that Ray is a lifelong Democrat who plans to run for elected office one day.)

Judicial Watch also criticized George W. Bush for recent comments saying that Clinton should be allowed to "move on" and "enjoy life and become an active participant in the American system." These comments essentially sent a signal to let Clinton "off the hook."

"This deal shows how thoroughly corrupted our legal system has become. The powerful get away with criminal wrongdoing that would send any other person to jail for years," stated Judicial Watch Chairman and General Counsel Larry Klayman.

"We will investigate this 'miscarriage of justice' and ask the federal court panel overseeing Ray to reject the plea," said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.

Ted Kennedy's Hypocritical Attack

Teddy Kennedy was at his worst, attacking Bush Attorney General nominee John Ashcroft with a vigor heretofore unseen. Of his former Senate colleague, Teddy bellowed and blustered: "I think this nominee owes an apology to the people of the United States for that insinuation, talking about our government now being the source of tyrannical oppression. That's what I think, senator. I don't retreat. I don't retreat on any one of those matters."

Of course, Mr. Ashcroft is to be praised for seeing and calling the central government what it really is -- to the dismay of Sociocrat tyrants like the Senator who killed Mary Jo Kopechne at Chappaquiddick, but has, for almost 40 years, retained the throne he uses to assail men of virtue like John Ashcroft.

Fearing he is short on votes to defeat Ashcroft's nomination, Kennedy plans to filibuster. But in 1995, Kennedy had this to say about filibustering presidential nominees: "It is wrong to filibuster this nomination, and Senators who believe in fairness will not let a minority of the Senate deny [the nominee] his vote by the entire Senate. We do a disservice to [the nominee], the Senate and the Nation as a whole by prolonging this process." Of course, Teddy has never let a double standard get in his way!

Morris: Hillary Reluctant to 'Wound the Bear'

Why isn't Hillary joining the chorus of voices against Attorney General-designate John Ashcroft? Because she's frightened of Ashcroft and doesn't want to antagonize him, according to Dick Morris, a former friend and adviser to Hillary's husband Bill. Writing in Friday's New York Post, Morris says if Hillary can't kill Ashcroft's nomination, it's better not to wound him. "As attorney general, Ashcroft could easily reopen the campaign-finance probe into the Chinese donations that the Clinton campaign received in 1995-'96. That's why Hillary is laying off him." Morris notes that the Riady case (Riady being the central figure in the Chinese contributions scandal) was postponed earlier this week - a Los Angeles federal court putting it off until February or March, because the presiding judge is recovering from surgery. "Now [Janet] Reno's desperate bid to close this case before she leaves office has backfired," Morris writes.

Conservative Group Want Thompson's HHS Nomination Withdrawn

While he undergoes confirmation hearings before Senate committees on Capitol Hill, Wisconsin Governor Tommy Thompson continues to face stiff opposition from the American Life League, a leading pro-life group.

In fact, A-L-L Thursday called on President-elect Bush to withdraw his nomination of Thompson to be secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services. A-L-L says Thompson supports the destruction of human embryos to advance scientific efforts to cure diseases.

"Tommy Thompson supports the federal funding of scientists who destroy embryonic human persons. Thompson is not pro-life. I call upon George W. Bush to act decisively and immediately withdraw the nomination of Thompson as secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services," A-L-L President Judie Brown said in a statement.

"In recent days," Brown continued, "Thompson has been described as a moderate. But how can any one be moderate on the question of whether or not it is ever permissible to slaughter an innocent human being?"

Call to Rescind Clinton's Last-Minute Executive Orders

Three U.S. lawmakers are urging the incoming Bush administration to "immediately rescind the avalanche of executive orders that President Clinton issued since Election Day of this year." Reps. Jacks Kingston (R-Geo.), Tom Tancredo (R-Colo.), and George Radanovich (R-Calif.) plan to hold a Friday morning news conference to rail against Clinton's last-minute orders, which bypassed the normal legislative process. Said Rep Radanovich, "In his last 90 days in office, President Clinton has left the American people with approximately 29,000 pages of new federal regulations and executive orders...which will have a tremendous impact on our economy, environment, and privacy." Rep. Tancredo is planning to introduce legislation to overturn the regulations. "There are a myriad of important issues addressed in these orders that deserve a thorough Congressional review," said Radanovich.

** TCN Comment-- Congress has the power to block any EO. Why don't they? None of Clinton's EO's have faced the slightest challenge from Congress. If the spineless wimps are afraid of doing what they obviously know is the right thing, they shouldn't be in office.

Regarding your IRS overpayment...

The Capital Research Center reports that Leftist groups, including the Feminist Majority Foundation, NAACP, National Education Association, NOW Legal Defense & Education Fund, and Planned Parenthood, all of which oppose the nomination of John Ashcroft, received $150 million in government funding in the last two years.

China Receives U.S. Compensation

BEIJING (AP) - China said Saturday that it had received $28 million in compensation from the United States for the bombing of the Chinese Embassy in Belgrade during NATO's 1999 air war against Yugoslavia.

The payment was promised in December 1999 as part of a deal aimed at appeasing Chinese anger, which boiled over in the days after the bombing when stone-throwing mobs attacked the U.S. Embassy in Beijing and consulates elsewhere in China.

As part of the deal, China agreed to pay $2.9 million for the damage done by the mobs to U.S. offices.

The United States has also promised to pay $4.5 million to those injured and the families of three Chinese citizens killed in the May 7, 1999, bombing in the Yugoslav capital.

** TCN Comment: Clinton returns illegal campaign contributions from tax payer dollars now that he is done with them. But that is not news. Most, if not all, of the agencies contributing big money to DNC and Clinton/Gore campaigns received equally large amounts of funding from the most corrupt administration in US history.

Parting Thought

With the increasing availability of e-mail, it seems that our congressmen have been hearing more from their constituencies than they care to hear. Many of them have reportedly stop reading their e-mail altogether. Now we know why so many of us have not had a response to our e-mailed comments in some time.

In a system where many promises of change are necessary to get elected, and changes to that system are difficult to make, we the voter and base of the supposed pyramid of political power, tend to get very cynical. We need to remember however, the words of Plato: "One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors."

Stay in the system. Stay on your elected officials-- local, state and federal. Make your opinions heard.

Right now is the time to start preparing for the 2002 and 2004 election cycles. Contact your local conservative political group and get involved in organizing and recruiting potential candidates.

Be active in the process, or be prepared to shoulder your share of the blame for allowing "inferiors" to rule.
