QUOTES

"He who permits himself to tell a lie once, finds it much easier to do it a second and third time, till at length it becomes habitual; he tells lies without attending to it, and truth without the world's believing him. This falsehood of the tongue leads to that of the heart, and in time depraves all its good dispositions." - Thomas Jefferson

"[T]he main source of national power and national greatness is found in the average citizenship of the nation. Therefore it behooves us to do our best to see that the standard of the average citizen is kept high; and the average can not be kept high unless the standard of the leaders is very much higher." --Theodore Roosevelt

"This is the glory of the Founders -- despite having the power and opportunity to replicate in America the despotisms of Europe, they instead embraced and proclaimed a new understanding of politics. That understanding acknowledged in human nature itself, formed by God in a decision beyond the reach of human power or rejection, the basis for a universal claim to dignity and rights." --Alan Keyes

"...[T]he Constitution conferred only a few specific powers on the federal government, all others being denied to it (as the Tenth Amendment would make plain). Unfortunately, only a tiny fraction of the U.S. population today -- subtle logicians like you -- can grasp such nuances. Too bad. The Constitution wasn't meant to be a brain-twister." --Joseph Sobran

"...[I]t is no coincidence that a society which undermines parental authority, which marginalizes religion, and which steeps its children in a violent and sexually obsessed popular culture produces children who are unruly, undisciplined, nihilistic, and in some cases infatuated with murder and quite prepared to act on these infatuations." --Rep. J.C. Watts Jr.

"While we have long found much to admire in Gov. Bush's program, we have always questioned the wisdom of making 'compassionate conservatism' the theme of his campaign. Its chief defect is that it does not provide a compelling reason for voters to make him president. His campaign has instead proceeded as though voters already wanted him to be president and its task were to prevent them from changing their minds. ... Whether he likes it or not, the strongest arguments against Gore are not based on Bush's superior character or style; they are conservative arguments against Gore's program." --National Review

Gore's Degenerate Society

By Michael Savage, Founder of The Paul Revere Society

Can the U.S. ever recover from the damage done by the Clinton and Gore machine? It has taken us 30 years to begin recovering from the damage done by LBJ and the Warren Court liberals. "The Great Society" of LBJ, which was Mao-Lite, led us to "The Degenerate Society" of the Gores.

Red diaper-doper baby lawyers seized power. Criminals were given more freedoms than cops. Junk lawsuits proliferated. Schoolchildren lost the ability to add, spell or write. Pornography penetrated every home with a TV. Violence became the national sport. Athletes, once role models, became models of ghetto trash. Sex, once sacred, became a cheap sneeze in the night. Unborn babies were slaughtered, their body parts sold for profit by factories of death. Homosexuality became superior. Diseased and criminal immigrants flooded into America. White males were scapegoated as the incarnation of evil. Voting was rigged and turnout fell to new lows. Free speech disappeared. Thought crimes were targeted. Monopolies appeared in all major industries.

America's moral standing was destroyed. War crimes against humanity were committed in Yugoslavia by U.S. pilots. The U.S. media, once a watchdog, became a tool of the Gores. The jewels of our nuclear secrets were sold to China for donations to the Gore campaign and the DNC.

Now, as I said, it has taken us 30 years to begin correcting just some of the social damage done by LBJ's army of do-gooders who did very bad, indeed.

How long might it take us to correct the damage done by the Gore Democrats? Will we ever know how deeply they have injured the nation? Not until and unless the Democrats' grip on the major media is broken by antitrust legislation. Not until and unless the Andover/Yale know-nothings behind Bush stand up and fight the New York lawyers behind Gore in the only way they can win: eye to eye, nose to nose, mano a mano.

How is it that the Andover/Yale rowing team behind Bush has let Gore get off the hook for Clinton's high crimes and felonies? Seven and a half years of the same administration and Gore has been permitted to position himself as "His Own Man"!

The Degenerate Society we have inherited from eight years of trickle-down immorality can be directly traced to Gore's straight man act, which has enabled Clinton to get away with all the shocks and outrages mentioned above.

Not since the Weimar Republic of pre-Nazi Germany has decadence so completely permeated a free society. If the social pollution of Al Gore is permitted to continue for another four years, normally tolerant people will be pushed beyond the firewall of the right wing into realms of reaction we don't even want to dream of.

The Government Education Monopoly

By Joseph Farah, WorldNetDaily

The people who control and run government schools -- or what some people mistakenly call "public schools" -- are working very hard to ensure they have no competition, especially from pesky parents who actually think they know what's best for their kids.

Over the weekend, WorldNetDaily reporter Julie Foster referred to the National Education Association's official position on home schooling. It is rather enlightening to say the least.

"Home-schooling programs cannot provide the student with a comprehensive education experience," the NEA states. Reaffirmed in July at the labor union's annual convention, the statement was originally adopted and published in 1988.

The resolution, which totals less than 150 words, also states: "Home schooling should be limited to the children of the immediate family, with all expenses being borne by the parents/guardians. Instruction should be by persons who are licensed by the appropriate state education licensure agency, and a curriculum approved by the state department of education should be used."

"The association also believes that home-schooled students should not participate in any extracurricular activities in the public schools," the resolution concludes.

Now, now. Isn't that interesting? How's that for arrogance? How's that for ignoring reality?

How's that for throwing stones while living in a glass house?

So, home-schooling cannot provide the student with a comprehensive education experience, huh? Why is it that every study shows home-schoolers far out-performing those miseducated in government schools. (Calling them "public schools" is misleading because most all "private schools" in this country are open to the public. The difference is that what we call "public schools" are actually institutions controlled by the state -- and increasingly by Washington.)

It's no wonder the NEA is so worried about home-schooling. It may be the biggest and best threat to the government education establishment. While most voucher and school-choice plans could easily be co-opted by the state, it's hard to imagine how government could ever corrupt home-schooling short of regulating it or outlawing it. And that's just what the state's partner in education crime -- the NEA -- is trying to do.

The NEA, which has demonstrated high marks only for dumbing down an entire generation of government school students, now wants to license parents to teach their own kids.

Of course, the group objects to home-schooling because it cannot possibly offer a comprehensive educational experience for kids. But, at the same time, the NEA wants to make sure it doesn't -- so don't get any ideas about trying to sneak your home-schooled kid into a government school extra-curricular program, even if your tax dollars did pay for it.

Unbelievable.

But it gets worse. Check out the scare tactics of the Democratic National Committee on home-schooling. The DNC apparently agrees wholeheartedly with the NEA fascists. In its frenzy to whip up hysteria against George W. Bush, the DNC is warning that "Texas is lenient on home-schoolers."

What does that mean? Basically that home-schooling has not yet been criminalized in the Lone Star State.

"Texas has very few requirements on home-schoolers," says the DNC. Think about that. These folks think the state has a right to set requirements for how parents teach their kids. What kinds of requirements do the Democrats want?

"Texas does not require teacher certification, attendance or notice to the public school the student attended," the DNC points out. My gosh!

It's clear the Democrats are running a protection racket for the powerful NEA. The NEA is running a protection racket for its employees. But more than that, the NEA is spearheading the drive for total government control over all education. The reason it does so is because government empowers the NEA. This is a union that has special privileges no other labor guild has ever enjoyed -- including non-profit status for an organization that actively promotes, endorses and funds the candidacies of partisan political campaigns.

This is truly an extremist organization -- one that would, if it could, change America's character in ways that would make it scarcely recognizable to freedom-loving people.

And that's why home-schoolers are its biggest enemy, its most feared threat and its most worthy adversary.
