"If the votes were counted Al Gore would carry the state." - Bill Clinton speaking on the need for a Florida recount.
TCN - Has the president become psychic or does he just know how the votes were to be counted.
One Palm Beach County voter informed TCN that the poll workers were so busy campaigning that they had little else they could do. She said that older voters were watched closely by Gore supporters and "corrected" when they voted for anyone other than Gore. "Oh no, you did that wrong. You don't want to vote for him. Let me get you another ballot so you can vote for Al Gore." Not only were poll workers actively campaigning for Gore, but Gore/Lieberman signs had been placed in voting booths. These activities are all illegal by Florida law, but they were part of the Democratic plan to win the state. Our guess is that Bill Clinton was fully aware of that plan.
The rest of the plan was built around counting the vote. Just count it until it comes out "right". Can anyone say how much of a "dimple" it takes to make a vote? Does everyone have to be able to see the "dimple" or just one… or maybe two out of three counters…
If the voter could punch the rest of the ballot, why could he not punch a slot for president if he wanted to? Quite simply, he could have, but didn't want to. The number of ballots that did not have a presidential choice in any of the three Florida counties being disputed is no higher than the national average. But, if crooked Democrats can count them by imagining "dimples" in them, Gore can win.
As we have reported, Judicial Watch has seen many of the ballots from Palm Beach County and has stated that many, many questionable methods had been used to pervert the count in favor of Gore. The local Dems and the Gore army of lawyers tried hard to keep Judicial Watch from inspecting the ballots. I guess that wasn't part of the plan.
** Where will it all lead?
TCN has frequently been asked where we expect this to lead. Will the Florida Supreme Court settle it? Will the US Supreme Court settle it? Will Gore ever concede? Will GW get tired and quit the fight?
We at TCN think we will not see the end of the presidential race until the US Congress has its say in the matter. The last eight years have seen thousands of liberal judges appointed to the federal benches, but the Supreme Court remains ever so slightly tilted to the right. We believe Gore will continue to win in courts where Clinton activists are on the bench, but GW will prevail in these cases in the long run. The time table leading up to inauguration however does not allow time for all of these cases to play out.
Ultimately, providing the Gore dirt-digging-machine's intimidation fails to scare them off, the Florida legislature will convene and choose a slate of electors, as it should. Gore supporters in the House will then challenge that slate of electors. The House will find in favor of GW and the Senate will follow suit. Bush will become president and Gore will be a thorn in his side until he fails to gain the Democratic nomination again in 2004. (He will then demand recounts in the Democratic convention until he finally wins.)
** As a side note:
All of the votes WERE counted in Palm Beach, Broward and Dade Counties. Those votes that Clinton and Gore refer to as "not counted" are those ballots that did not register a vote for the office of president. This is common in all polling places across the country and the number of such ballots in southeast Florida is consistent with all other areas. These voters didn't see enough difference in the two candidates to care which one was elected. According to Clinton/Gore and Democrat vote counters, that makes them Gore votes.

A Republic is a government of law. In a Republic, the individual man, as the ruler, delegates certain limited responsibilities to Representatives. In a Republic, the individual has God-given rights that are protected by their Representatives.
In a Democracy, the majority vote (mob rule) directs the course of a nation. In a Democracy, the individual has very little protection, and is expendable for the majority good.
The destruction of the Republic will be completed when the Electoral College is destroyed, and the popular vote is accepted in order to elect a president.
The service ended in a prayer meeting, with a gracious moving of God giving the Spirit of prayer for our nation that God ordained for the protection of the Church to freely preach the Gospel to the world. No doubt, this is another call for the people of God in America to repent.
This is not the first call but it may be the Last.

"You probably never thought you would live to see middle America and mainstream Republicans galvanized to resist your ongoing takeover of America. But like other power-hungry groups in history, you didn't know when to hold back. Your party and its standard bearer, Al Gore, have attempted to thwart an election not in the quiet of the night (as in 1960) but in daylight, before the cameras of the world. And finally we have begun to resist.
"Most of us have never attended a political demonstration. Most of us are not particularly political, preferring work, family, sports, and communal associations to political activism. But now we are angry. By golly, even Bob Dole is angry. Republicans are actually organizing demonstrations. Such activism is so rare that 'conservative activist' is an oxymoron. But for the time being you have changed that. Call it the Chad Revolt.
"In fact, it is thanks to your changing ballot-counting rules, your emphasis on hand counts in only those Florida districts you dominate, your invalidation of military ballots, your sending of Jesse Jackson to rouse race-based anger and of Alan Dershowitz to smear Florida Secretary of State Katherine Harris, that many of us have decided, finally, to fight back.
"We have watched in silence as you have undermined our children's schools, taking more and more money to pay for union members who teach our children less and less. We have watched in silence as you have taken over our once-great universities, as you have substituted political correctness for pursuit of truth. We have watched radical students in university after university shout down the few conservatives ever invited to speak on campus -- while liberal college presidents and deans defend this censorship of speech.
"We have watched in silence as the fires of racial hatred and anger have been repeatedly stoked by 'civil rights leaders' such as Al Sharpton and Kweisi Mfume. Most recently we saw the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People run an ad on American television associating George W. Bush with the lynching of James Byrd. This ad was perhaps the most venomous political ad ever shown on American television, yet no liberal or Democrat offered a condemnation.
"We have watched in silence as organization after organization has been taken over by liberal and Democratic activists -- from the American Bar Association, to the League of Women Voters, to the American Library Association, to the American Psychological Association, and on to virtually every academic association. We have watched in silence as you attempt to destroy the Boy Scouts, one of the only groups helping boys, especially inner-city boys who have no other constructive outlet for their energies.
"We have watched in silence as you have made war on the 'masculinist' culture of the military, leaving a demoralized and less effective military in the wake of your social experimentation.
"We have watched in silence as you've taken over children's courts and the ranks of social workers. Many of these people believe that children are better off with no parents than with parents of a different race. They believe that children should almost always be given back to blood-related parents, even those who horribly abuse them.
"We have watched in silence as trial lawyers take over more and more of American life, leaving citizens prey to lawsuits they cannot defend themselves against. We watch them dominate the Democratic Party, and we watch them become judges who substitute their wills for the democratic process.
"We have watched in silence as the White House and its sacred rooms have been put up for sale to Democratic party donors and Hollywood stars, as the presidency has been degraded to the point where young people could ask the president of the U.S. on national television what type of underpants he wears. We watched Bill Clinton respond to that question. Likewise, we watched Mr. Gore attempt to demonstrate to the nation that a prolonged and probing kiss before a large national audience somehow dignifies the office of president.
"We have watched in silence as the leading news media have become indistinguishable from liberal spokespeople, to the extent that NBC news anchor Tom Brokaw actually said 'we are ahead' when speaking about Democratic electoral gains on election night.
"We have watched in silence as the Democratic Party has relied on fomenting anger among Americans for its victories. The more that blacks are angry at whites, the more they vote Democrat. The more that Jews fear Christians, the more they vote Democrat. And the more women distrust men, the more they vote Democrat.
"Given all this silence in the face of your attempt to control America, it is no wonder you thought you could litigate your way to the presidency. And maybe you could. But lo and behold, the rest of us are beginning to fight. Not enough yet to take back the schools or the courts or the professional organizations or the news media. But enough to let you know that we are out here. Yes, that large block of America between New York and California that in your hearts you believe to be racist, bigoted, anti-Semitic, homophobic and misogynist, is fighting back. You think that way because, in our arrogance, you confuse liberal with decent. But tens of millions of us have a different view of liberal -- as increasingly nihilist.
"And now, thanks to Mr. Gore not having the decency to do what Richard Nixon did 40 years ago, much of America might still find you frightening, but they no longer find you intimidating.
"Thankfully for America, you made a big mistake."
[ Dennis Prager, Wall Street Journal ]
There he goes again. A week after the fact came out to the contrary, Gore campaign attorney David Boies is still arguing that a 10-year-old Illinois court case supports his contention that Florida canvassers must count dimpled or indented "chads" - the paper squares next to candidates' names that voters punch out to register their choices. It takes hard work to mischaracterize a case so completely, but Mr. Boies seems more than up to the job.
Here's what one reporter asked Mr. Boies at the close of a press conference Thursday morning in Tallahassee, Fla.: "Will you continue to cite the Illinois case as proof of the dimple standard when the Chicago Tribune investigation said that it repudiated that and that one of the guys you've got an affidavit from has since recanted?"
Answered Mr. Boies: "The Illinois case, yeah, and that's actually what I was talking about. I was talking about the Pullen case [in Illinois]. First the Chicago Sun Times and then the Chicago Tribune went back and looked at the facts of the Pullen case, and both of them reported that that election had been decided by indented ballots. Then we got an affidavit from somebody who was involved in it.
"Now, I don't know what somebody has reported about that being the case or not being the case. What I do know is what was reported contemporaneously, and I know what the affidavit says. Now, in addition to that, I know what the case says, and the case talks about indented ballots."
In fact, the record shows that canvassers in the case explicitly rejected dented ballots - even those with "definite" or "distinct" dents - and the state high court affirmed their decision to do so. The canvassers wound up counting only ballots on which voters had perforated the chads or dislodged the corners of the chads, allowing light to show through.
It's true that Mr. Boies did obtain an affidavit from one of the parties in the Illinois case to the effect that the Illinois case required counting dented ballots. But when Tribune reporters confronted the party - Michael Lavelle - with court records to the contrary, he filed an amended affidavit the very next day. "My mistaken recollection," Mr. Lavelle said, "was that the trial judge counted 'indented or dimpled ballots' where light did not shine through. In fact the trial judge only counted 'indented or dimpled ballots' where light could shine through."
Interestingly, there is no evidence that Democrats have filed the revised affidavit either with the Florida canvassing boards or with Florida courts, who have been making decisions based on Mr. Boies' misinformation to them. On Thursday a Washington public interest group, the National Legal and Policy Center, filed a complaint with the Florida Bar requesting an investigation of Mr. Boies "for apparent professional misconduct." According to Florida Rules of Professional Conduct, the group says, "If a lawyer has offered material evidence and thereafter comes to know of its falsity, the lawyer shall take reasonable remedial measures." Democratic Party officials have not returned numerous phone calls over the last two days in connection with the affidavit.
The problem for Mr. Gore here is that he can't win Florida without dimpled ballots. Apparently he's willing to give Mr. Boies' falsehoods his imprimatur if that's what it takes to get them. Florida courts and canvassers should insist on a higher standard.
[ Washington Times Editorial ]
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (UPI) - Al Gore's refusal to concede to President-elect Bush is causing a flood of Democrats to switch to the Republican Party.
The Duval County Supervisor of Elections office has been busy since Election Day signing up new voters and helping registrants change parties, WJXT-TV of Jacksonville reported Friday. Clerks said they have never seen anything like it after any other presidential election.
Many people are registering to vote for the first time. Many have said they did not realize before this election that their vote could really count.
Assistant Supervisor of Elections Dick Carlsberg said he talked to the clerks in the office and they told him, "There's been a definite surge in party affiliation changes, and it's been from Democrat to Republican."
He said nothing like this had happened after the presidential elections in 1996 and 1992.
One disgruntled former Democrat is John Carswell, who switched recently after 34 years in the party since he first registered to vote. He said he did it because he didn't like the way the Democratic Party had reacted to the presidential election results.

TCN -- As the 2 major parties drift toward each other, the only deciding factor involved in which party to belong to is how the participants react. It is a sad day when ideology is no longer a factor.
Al Gore's increasingly desperate refusal to admit he lost the presidential election has some observers wondering if he is mentally ill. In fact, he fits the criteria for narcissistic personality disorder to an eerie tee.
A popular Internet message being spread around the globe notes that the description of this disorder sums up Gore's entire being.
According to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fourth Edition (DSM-IV), the bible of psychological problems, narcissistic personality disorder is marked by:
"A pervasive pattern of grandiosity (in fantasy or behavior), need for admiration, and lack of empathy, beginning by early adulthood and present in a variety of contexts, as indicated by five (or more) of the following:
"(1) has a grandiose sense of self-importance (e.g., exaggerates achievements and talents, expects to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements)
"(2) is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love
"(3) believes that he or she is 'special' and unique and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people (or institutions)
"(4) requires excessive admiration
"(5) has a sense of entitlement, i.e., unreasonable expectations of especially favorable treatment or automatic compliance with his or her expectations
"(6) is interpersonally exploitative, i.e., takes advantage of others to achieve his or her own ends
"(7) lacks empathy: is unwilling to recognize or identify with the feelings and needs of others
"(8) is often envious of others or believes that others are envious of him or her
"(9) shows arrogant, haughty behaviors or attitudes."
Al, the fat lady is singing, and the men in the white coats are coming.
TCN - No doubt in our minds!
Q. What's the difference between Al Gore and a puppy?
A. After five weeks, the puppy will open its eyes and stop whining
A proposed revision to the rules of golf is being sought in South Florida which will replace the traditional call of "FORE".
Once a player has hit an errant shot he will be allowed to call "GORE" while the ball is still in flight. He can then replace the ball in the same spot and hit it again.
The player can do this until he is satisfied the ball is going where he intended to hit it in the first place. This will cause the time of play to be extended until such time the player can claim the hole.
This revision is causing some consternation to the PGA but proponents say it is only fair.
A recent test of this new rule was recently played out in an exclusive club in Palm Beach County Florida and the first hole only took 19 days to complete.
