Republican Party Willing To Look The Other Way

(Washington, D.C., December 17, 2000) Appearing on NBC's 'Meet The Press' this week, Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott stated that neither he nor his Republican Party will make an issue of Hillary Rodham Clinton's $8 million extortive book deal, or the expected pardons of Bill Clinton, Webster Hubbell, Susan McDougal and others. See NBC transcript at www.nbc.com.

It is likely that Senator Lott's statements were pre-cleared with President-Elect Bush.

'Regrettably, it is now obvious that the Republican Party's continuing concept of justice is tied to 'bi-partisan appeasement,' not the rule of law,' stated Judicial Watch Chairman Larry Klayman. 'Judicial Watch has a different view and approach,' added Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. 'We will not rest until justice is done,' stated Klayman.

The Greatest Tool We Have Had

By P. Leslie Riley, Jr. - MS State Chairman - The Constitution Party

And now, ladies and gentlemen, I present the greatest tool we have had to date for building the Constitution Party & leaving Socialist Party B (aka the GOP): President George W. Bush and a government controlled by the compassionate "conservatives" that lead the Republican Party. The presidency of Bush #2 is already starting to look, sound, and smell like Bush #1.

Remember, after President Bush was elected on Reagan's popularity, he began his presidency by offering an olive branch to the left ( he wanted a "kinder, gentler nation" ) and by the time it was over we had :

As Mr. Farah eloquently stated in his article "The Honeymoon is Over"(link below), President-elect "Dubya" is already showing in his first major speech that he is a conciliatory, bi-partisan "compassionate" statist. He has begun (unofficially) his presidency just like his father -- by offering an olive branch to his enemies, and a raspberry to his supporters. Mr. Farah points out, and dismantles, Bush's statist, unconstitutional, Clinton/ Gore-like policies. The "Dubya" wants more efficient socialism.

A couple of things Mr. Farah didn't point out and one he did, indirectly: The most notable thing about President "Dubya's" speech is what was missing.

As Joe Sobran pointed out, last year we impeached a president and nearly removed him from office for the offense of lying under oath (aka "perjury"). I would argue that GWB either is a "pre-meditated perjurer" or he has never read the Constitution. If elected, his first act will be the taking of a solemn oath to "uphold and defend the Constitution". He has already promised to continue all sorts of programs and begin many new ones that are not to be found among the LIMITED duties the Constitution gives to the central government. This is not a minor issue. If a "good" man does not understand the proper role and function of government he can (will) be much more dangerous to liberty than a reprobate that no one trusts - because he will continue all sorts of tyrannical affronts (programs) in an effort to help -- and folks will not be watching him as closely.

Once you've had enough of this, come join the Constitution Party. If you are not convinced, I won't try to make my case further, the "Dubya" has four years to do that for me.

INS Seizure Investigated as Kidnapping

**Honduras says U.S. violated treaty when it arrested accused smuggler

The Honduran Ambassador is investigating what his nation says is the kidnapping of a Honduran rancher by INS agents in a high-profile immigrant-smuggling case, Honduran officials in Houston say.

Documents filed in federal court this month allege that INS agents kidnapped Jose Leon "Leoncio" Castillo at the Guatemala City airport, forced him to fly with them to Los Angeles, arrested him at an airport in the city, then lied about the abduction in an attempted cover-up.

Honduran Consul General Martha Irene Bueso said that if the kidnapping occurred, then the United States violated an international treaty with Honduras. The treaty prevents one country from seizing a citizen of the other in a third country.

"I'm sending everything to the ambassador (Hugo Noe Pino) in Washington," Bueso said last week. "This is very serious to us."

U.S. authorities deny the kidnapping allegation. They say Guatemalan authorities detained Castillo at the Guatemala City airport, then expelled him back to Honduras -- via Los Angeles.

INS spokeswoman Luisa Fine declined comment on the allegations because of Castillo's upcoming trial.

David Gerger, Castillo's attorney, said he has learned that U.S. agents met Castillo at the Guatemala City airport and forced him onto a plane bound for Los Angeles.

"Seizing a foreign national in a third country is especially offensive to international law and relations," Gerger said. "In a third country, the defendant's home state cannot easily intervene to protect its citizen's rights and might not even know of the abduction until after the fact."

Parents Sue School for Strip Search

STEPHENVILLE, Texas (AP) - The parents of a 10-year-old boy who was allegedly strip searched by school employees looking for cigarettes have sued the school district.

According to the lawsuit, filed Thursday in U.S. District Court, the boy was strip searched by a teacher at Gilbert Intermediate School at the request of a school security guard who suspected the boy had cigarettes. Another teacher also witnessed the search.

Roger and Teresa Salter, who contend their son's constitutional rights were violated, say the boy had been questioned and patted down before the alleged strip search on Sept. 29. Nothing was found in any of the searches, according to the lawsuit.

The lawsuit says the boy suffered psychological damage from the search. Unspecified damages were being sought.

Superintendent Darrell G. Floyd said the district's guidelines for searches complied with state law and such searches are not common.

FONDA FUNDS ABORTIONS

Tax-exempt groups raised $97.3 million and spent $132.6 million since July 1, to influence the fall elections. Actress Jane Fonda, the largest single contributor on the list we saw, personally bankrolled an $11.7 million campaign to inject the abortion issue in battleground states (11/4 H.Times). She shelled out the $11.7 million of her own money in two checks Sept. 15 & 26. Pro Choice Vote used her money to make large donations to abortion choice groups.

Her impending divorce and "conversion" as a born-again Christian were widely reported last Jan. Something seems wrong, here!

2Cor 5:17 "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."

Rom 8:13-14 "For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God."
